It really is. You can learn to like it if you just want something sweet but it's got a very alkaline taste and smells weird. Hard to go back to it after eating other chocolates for a while.
They put butyric acid, the same compound that's responsible for the distinct taste of Parmesan cheese, in their chocolate. There's no official reasoning for doing so, but that's how it's been since the beginning. It certainly does make it taste unique among chocolates. I don't really like it, but a lot of people will accept nothing else.
Probably has lots of cockroach meal in it... when the time is right they'll announce we've been eating bugs the whole time and didn't even know! #eatbugs

It used to be decent many years ago. My go to chocolate now is Lindt and Ghirardelli.
