And just like that the Russians all retreat, right? Over some dressing... It's probably about as Russian as Taco Bell is Mexican food.
I did hear someone earlier this weekend call to boycott Russian vodka. Which I guess makes sense, except I'm not sure I know of anyone that actually drinks Russian vodka.
Smirnoff turns out to currently be owned by the British (and if you get it in the US, it's probably made here). Smirnoff himself was Russian but communism happened. Absolut is owned by the French and produced in Sweden. Grey Goose is French.
Stolichnaya obviously
I thought that was in Latvia (says so on the bottle), but it turns out
It's disputed, there's actually two Stolichnayas and
The Latvian company gets its alcohol from Russia anyway.
