Did he shoplift? The article never calls him a shoplifter, thief, robber, or alleged thereof. He’s referred to as a customer and a victim but nothing else.
It says he walked up the counter with items to buy and that he walked out of the store without paying for them but doesn’t state that he left with the items.
Without knowing that detail it could be the customer/victim left the items on the counter and the clerk walked out after the guy, filming him and ranting about mask bullshit, and then attacked the guy going full masktard.
It would be nice if the clerk's video and security camera footage was available.
He did, it said the customer who got rejected walked out without paying for the items.
Edit: fuck, I failed to properly state he did not pay.
Ok, there’s another article that states specifically that he left with the snacks without paying.
