Yeah, I keep subscription running, because I have enough ingame gold to keep a subscription running for 20 years (of course it won't last that long with ingame inflation, but you get the idea).
And it's a decent activity that I enjoy doing while watching some soccer games.
Then I clear the LFR raid (not really interested in organized raiding anymore) and do 1-2 M+ a week (KSM is my goal, which I usually get).
I get maybe 2 hours / week out of WoW, more when new content releases. And as I said - it's free.
Raiding is actually fun though. And it's 15$/month, which you can bump down to 0$/month selling carries.
