Honestly western countries need to stop apologizing. Nothing can be done now for victims of slavery in the past. Tell these people to get over it (get over something they didn’t experience) or just leave.
Precisely the reason why we need a better world history taught. Stop acting as if slavery/land conquest isn’t as old as time across the world
I must respectfully disagree. Civilizations need to be allowed to develop naturally. Progress cannot be given, only made. Attempting to hand out the achievements of Western Civilization under the assumption that others would be able to benefit from it has been largely unsuccessful. Morality is a technology like any other, and societies that fail to develop a moral system alongside mechanical, chemical, industrial, etc. progress cannot benefit from those other achievements without it.
I hate reality shows but one I would watch is a show where whiny black teens that live in suburbs have to spend a month in a poor African village in the Congo or something. Same with these stupid college kids. See what they think then
