"I also have Skyrim."
I've been playing Doom for 28 years.
Not Doom Eternal. Not Doom 2016. I have no interest in those.
Just Doom.
There are so many great classics to play. Who needs the latest with a thick layer of globohomo indoctrination.
Right?
There were more games made between 1985 and 2005 than I'll ever have the time to play. Why the hell do I need new shit?
doom mods are better than lots of the games today, prove me wrong
30 hours in Hedon says you ain't wrong.
Doom's modding scene is crazy active, too.
I still go back to 2016 and Eternal. Not sure why it's apparently illegal to like all 3 iterations. ... I generally gravitate to 2016 if I feel I'm too drunk for Eternal or navigating some of OG Doom's BS late game maps. Especially 2.
because they killed modding and have shitty pvp, so og is superior for real gaming.
Never got a chance to play 2016 multiplayer due to having satellite at the time and Eternal was... too experimental, so yeah. OG probably had better multiplayer. I heard the hacking in 2016 was kind of out of control.
You know AAA gaming is in decline when they re-re-release the same fucking game for the newest generation of consoles
Rockstar has only released two new games in the last 8 years. GTA5 and RDR2.
The same span starting in the early 2000s we got, GTA3, GTA VC, GTA SA, GTA LCS, GTA VCS, GTA4, Midnight club 1-3, Smuggler's run 1&2, Max Payne 1&2, Manhunt 1&2, Bully, The Warriors.
i believe that MnC SR and MP were only published, maybe also manhunt.
Does anyone here like making their own games? Like with older engines and stuff? I just recently got back into the modding scene to create extra levels for games that I like. I may make some new ones based off of those engines, i.e. IdTech 4, UE3, Source SDK, etc.
All you need is some mediocre coding knowledge and know how to use something like blender.
f to the yes. we should get a kia modding club up here someday. tutorials and maybe make a mod month??

That's good too. As an adult, I can appreciate the single player much more than I did as a kid.
D2 has better endgame cough and full replacement mods cough cough (fuck remastered)
When D1 was made, I don't think there was such a concept as "endgame" meaning "more game after the game is over". You played, you got to the end, and that was it.
I'm biased, my main computer is a laptop with a gpu that probably won't play anything made after 2016, and even then it still hums when I play some games (but that might be steam in the background).
Most of the games I really wanna play are old ones. I can't think of a single one made recently that I like. Maybe 'Stray'. I hope when I get to build a PC someday that nvidia comes out with 2660's or whatever, like the 1660's. Or hell, just bring back the 1660, or even 1080. The hell do I need a 3080 for? Unless it comes bundled like a prebuilt or a laptop, I probably won't get anything new.
https://nzxt.com/en-US/software/cam overlay temps, watch that youre not overheating while youre gaming. or upgrade to 4:3 instant perfboosts. ^^ nothing you cant play on a 1080 is worth playing anyways ;)
ahem
Damn. That's better than Oregon Trail.
the awesome part.... it still holds up
Im playing fallout 76: minecraft edition
