I've complained about the injustice of 'three strikes' policies where some guy gets a slap on the wrist for two significant crimes, then gets 10 years for something completely petty, but... Eleven arrests in 8-9 years?

Yep. There was a case in Tampa in... January(?) where two guys busted into a gamer's apartment to rob him. Both fine young gentlemen has felony assault convictions against police officers within six months. Per Florida law, that's a mandatory 5 year sentence. DA gave them time served.
