True, the devs are cucks. If you want to check out newpipe, check out "Newpipe x Sponsorblock" which is a fork of newpipe.
I found this fork from the newpipe subreddit. Don't know if it's legit.
Saw that. I still recommended the app because it would improve your privacy.
Also check out libreddit. It is a front-end for reddit. Simply replace "https://www.reddit.com" or "https://old.reddit.com" to "https://libredd.it" to use it.
For e.g. the url of the libreddit version of reddit thread you linked would look like this - https://libredd.it/r/NewPipe/comments/qv6kr6/cringe_developers/
