Sounds like a bad batch of boosters. Makes me wonder if others in the community are facing similar side effects.
Edit: My surgeon friend insists this is "perfectly normal" and she had side effects that laid her up for a day after her booster. Meanwhile my buddy in the army was puking his guts out for days after getting his second shot. What the fuck is happening. When my dad was prepping to go to Nigeria he had to get every vaccine on the planet, and I'd never seen him so fucked up. We are all Nigerians now. Perfectly normal my ass.
Several bad reactions in one school's staff is way too much of a cluster to be anything other than a badly manufactured, poorly stored, other othwice contaminated batch.
I'm sure it was on doctor recommendation. That was 20 years ago and he's died since, so I can't exactly ask him. At the very least I believe he got a malaria shot, and I think meningitis. Not sure about Hep, Cholera, or Typhoid. He basically spent two weeks at home, drained of energy, sweating and watching Matlock.
I had the same before going to India, circa 2012/13. A) because I was going to be working there, and B) on “doctors orders”. I don’t think the Indian government gave a shit, though my “employer” might have (I was teaching)…
But honestly, it’s more just a “person from developed country going to undeveloped shithole” thing, I think…
So anyway, you’re right, and I get it. And I also understand at least some of his pain and suffering, in those two weeks or so…
Worst was rabies (know if he had to have that?), which, much like coof coof and also malaria, didn’t ACTUALLY prevent you from dying. It just bought you more time to get to the hospital, lol. But it also massively fucked you up, and left a big purple blister on your arm, for days… I think I had to have two shots of that. Maybe even three! Was fucking dementedly awful. And painful. Hence… I fucking hate needles, lol.
I really don't know if he had a rabies shot. He went to India a couple times, as well as elsewhere in Africa, South America, etc. Lots of third world traveling. I'm sure it was on the menu at some point.
Back in May enough people at work either had or had seen side effects that someone asked during an all-hands meeting if the special WuFlu sick leave the company offered covered illness caused by vaccination. Couple of my 30-something coworkers were out of commission for a few days after.

They're all bad batches. Especially the ones that work as intended.
Tiffany Dover got a batch that "worked as intended" and was never seen on camera, social media, or real life again.

That last part gave me the chills. To see someone in that condition must have been horrible.
"Doctor, how is he?"
Well he's stable, but I'm afraid there's been a complication. He's...watching Matlock.
"Oh no...just one episode though, right?"
No ma'am. He just started Season 7.
"My god."
