IIRC, Alice Sheldon (actual glowie and feminist SF writer) had her woman-only world be a dystopia, where cloned women worked various jobs corresponding to their clone line, with the heavy lifting done by "Andy" clones who were dosed with androgens. Then in her story she brought some men into it, dosed them with hormones to make them hyper-aggressive, and then were shocked, shocked, when they got all rapey. See, men are bad, mkay!
