Comics have really gone to shit, but Superman Red Son is shocking it got made, excellent anti communist and shows it doesn't even work when Superman is in charge.
The wokies don't care about the animated films yet. They're too busy trying to subvert the print comics so they can create new "source material" for the live action films in order to reach a broader audience.
The comics cost almost nothing to produce. Animation and voice acting are significant expenditures that still carry some expectations for return on investment.
These people don't think in terms of profits or expenditures. The animated films don't have anywhere near as big an audience as the live action films, so they're not a priority for the propagandists. They'll get to them eventually, I'm sure.
That is especially the case with the animated works the streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc) make. I think someone mentioned it here or reddit kia2, but basically they have carte blanche to make woke propagandistic garbage. This is because their profitability is completely divested from whether their shows are actually good or not so long as people keep subscribing and giving them money.
I've been really reluctant to watch that, even though it was one of my favorite spinoff books in DC comics. Does it stay true to the original? I have a very low opinion of their productions in recent years.

The first thing I thought about when I read that was the print Comic, it's better than the animated film.

The only really notable divergence is that they turned Wonder Woman into a full blown lesbian (they've been wanting to do that for some time, though).
lol that's what I get for playing in my gym while I watched it, I completely tuned out the gay propoganda.
It's easy to miss since it was framed through the dialogue rather than any visual depictions.
I never read the source, I was really pleasantly surprised by the flick after a friend recommended it, so I can't answer to its faithful recreation.
