Learned my lesson with the last book club that I can't really participate while law school's in session xD
Y'all'll really like the book. It can be pretty grim but damn is it an engrossing and eye-opening read.
Or, listen. There's an audiobook of it too, which is what I did. Took an entire summer to get through it but I still remember quite a lot, and that was...oh god about 3 or 4 years ago now.
Is there a specific edition we're reading? I know there's abridged/unabridged, I'm not sure if it was originally written in Russian, because then there might be different translations as well

I'm just going to leave this here for those that don't want to look.
Ah, the disappearance of Leningrad, good place to start.

You can find the audiobook on youtube here.

I suggest people do the audio book, its a massive trainwreck of truth amd despair, and i think its the best way to get through it.
Got it.
Should've done the abridged version. This might be the end of the bookclub.
It is absolutely a long book. AFAIK though we're "only" doing Vol. 1 for the book club. The other two volumes are up to the reader.
And honestly I suggested it because I think it is important to read in the context of what we're all doing on this forum.
