This summer’s series of extreme wildfires, hurricanes, and tropical storms have made it more apparent than ever that the effects of climate change are here.
Aaaaaand that's the game. Don't need to read any further. Let us fisk that sentence:
This summer’s series of extreme wildfires
No, the wildfires are caused by government declaring all public lands off limits to logging 40 years ago, allowing 4 decades of fuel load to build up, just waiting on a spark. ANY spark. People like YOU did that, Gabby Birenbaum.
hurricanes, and tropical storms
Hurricanes and tropical storms have always been there. The problem now is that people have been allowed to build on flood plains. Why can they do that? Because GOVERNMENT offers flood insurance. Not private insurers, GOVERNMENT. People like you, Gabby Birenbaum, encouraged legislators to OFFER flood insurance, so that wealthy country club elite that all think like YOU do can have beachfront mansions. There are building codes that could do a lot to lessen the damage that these storms cause, but people like YOU keep the new building codes out, because they would make renovating your expensive beach front homes cost a fortune.
the effects of climate change are here.
Ah, yes, the standard warmista dogma. No, you can't force all of us rubes into high density urban housing, like you like to live in. No, you can't destroy my mobility to salve your guilt over using "too many resources." Go live in New York City, or something, and leave the rest of us alone.
Absolutely correct on wildfires. Government management of forests has been a complete disaster. Unscientific, emotional, political. Never what was best for the forest.

Government in action.
