There is apparently a feature on Steam that if enabled, authorizes Valve staff to moderate game hubs, which has resulted in several people including myself getting banned from game hubs without authorization by the developers with no way for them to correct this issue themselves.
I want to create a thread about this bullshit fucking with developers and their communities, but Valve has been continuously threatening my account and I do not want to risk a questionable general permaban from the Steam community that will interfere with my ability to seek customer support, that is why I want the people here to create a thread about this shitty feature that allows their corrupt regressive leftist staff to fuck with their userbase.
DO NOT DISCLOSE A THREAD REQUEST WAS MADE HERE OR THEY MAY FIGURE IT OUT I AM THE SOURCE AND PERMABAN ME, I have even deleted a thread containing the text I posted on Steam.
Epic Games Store looking pretty good right now, right?
Yet another thing I was right about. I said Steam was woke and just hiding it well.
I mean, Epic is my choice. You can go with whatever, just not Origin. Please.
Still no.
Exactly, Epic is allot more open about siding with the regressive left than Valve, although Valve has been caught engaging in terrorist financing by donating to extremist game jams.
I suspect Gaben is trying to avoid declaring allegiance to the regressive left as he knows it will destroy the reputation of himself and his company with anyone who isn't a regressive leftist/globalist shill, with said reputation already beginning to decay.
I suspect it's merely an oversight. Steam contracting out the moderation and moderation in general just attracts shitty people.
Steam is going to keep getting woker. Epic was right to avoid putting in community forums.
What do you think happens when one company holds nearly all the power? The same will happen to Epic if it gets to that level. The key companies in a sector are always targets for subversion.
As opposed to the literal ChiCom front company?
One of those things can be fixed. Epic cannot.
Yes, I'm sure you can name a ton of companies that suddenly became less woke.
That doesn't fucking happen. They get entrenched and bring their own in until they have a critical mass within the company and can dictate. Eventually they MeToo their way into power and set about enacting their agenda.
China > female supremacist freaks. Not by much though.
They're not hiding it all. People just don't give a shit when it involves things like anime boobs, and they treat incidents like the BLM troll game as one off incidents.
Steam has a lot of convenient features; it's hard for people to get worked about principles.
Edit: Epic is woke dog shit too. By the by.
I don't think Epic is that woke. They made one misstep and they never spoke of it again. Everyone else doubled down again this year, several sports are still fucking kneeling.
The MLK thing is neither here nor there, because while it's pretty out of place, the racial narrative is so fucked that going back to MLK would be considered extremist. Rainbow Royale was just cheap pandering with assets that had been in the files since 2019 being thrown out for free with rainbow recolors. When it came down to censoring a creator for saying gays are unnatural (something not even conservatives do now), despite the mob begging Epic to permaban, they allowed the creator to apologize for their words and retain their status as an Epic Partner.
They've done more to help wrongthinkers than any other company. Their entire lawsuit was about the idea that these large tech companies shouldn't be allowed to boot anyone off, that sideloading should be made easy and safe.
While their intentions are to fill their Chinese overlords' pockets by starting an iOS Epic Store, if they had been successful, it would have been a path for a return of the likes of Infowars to iOS.
I honestly sound like a shill for them sometimes, but I do genuinely believe they haven't gone fully retarded yet.
This is a good response; I'll put aside the pride, BLM and MLK stuff for now and keep an eye on them.
I despise Epic's Chinese ties but I'll admit I do like them as a potential 'disruptive source' in regards to competition (Steam, Android/iOS).
Sadly, Epic games is worthless as a competitor and Valve knows this.
The only way someone could legitimately compete with Valve would be to do something like allowing content banned from the platform and ignoring regional laws for all content.
I used to not be a fan of the Chinese ties, but the attempted Google takeover made me appreciate them slightly. Tencent could have backstabbed Tim Sweeney and took 100% control together with Google, but they didn't. Google even made the offer, that they would pool their funds with Tencent to acquire enough of Epic to oust him.
Even if their reason for breaking down the censorship system is purely profit based, they've come far closer to dealing damage to Big Tech than any of the Republican Party's sham hearings on it and strongly worded letters have.
How DARE you judge someone by the content of their character! Black people deserve praise solely because they are Black! And you better capitalize Black but not white because EQUALITY! 🙃

Definitely still no.
Honestly, GOG seems fine enough.
CDPR are believed to be going regressive, not as hard as valve but still.
We do not know the thought process of Gabe Newell and CDPR's founders in regards to the regressive left.
Every global organization is at minimum Fabian.
The Globalist culture makes it an imperative to accept all the tenets of Globalism. You repeat the virtue signal, or they sink your whole fucking company. The Social Justice Racket is dangerous. Incoherent, but dangerous.
Fair enough. Anything but Origin works for me.
EA for bankruptcy 2022!

Why do you love epic so much? Not only is epic still owned by the CCP, they're still plenty woke too. I've said it before to you specifically even, but Epic is absolutely not a better alternative in this regard.
Probably because they never commemorated women's day.
I find that very admirable.
