It's an endemic disease. That means literally everyone you will ever meet (that doesn't die early) is going to get covid. Nothing can change that.
New Zealand is still covid free - by very strong border controls
Still? My Dad lives in New Zealand and just two weeks ago they went into another lockdown because cases were rising.
All they've done is delay the inevitable and they've set themselves up for rolling lockdowns in perpetuity.
Perpetual lockdowns? Sounds awesome!!!
Great idea, just don't let anyone or anything into your small island country forever, so that nobody gets sick from a slightly worse flu. What possible negative economic consequences could that have?
Globalism and GDP are not life necessities.
Worry less about "the economy" and more about the genetic engineering that's happening.
Well, Australia and New Zealand massively outperformed every other country over the past year so….
Because they're island nations and can completely close their borders, which is not the case for almost every other country in the world.
Animal vectors make this impossible.
the same country that disarmed its populace after a foreigner shot other foreigners
