A brief reminder: after the deposing their own royalty, France devolved into anarchy, chaos, and massacres, followed by an authoritarian regime arising in response to this.
Quite possibly, but considering Macron seems to have taken the Louis role, are you sensing "compassion" on the list of things you associate with the man?
France is a commie shithole that voted for exactly the government they deserve: to be taken care of and exploited as slaves. They are just doing to you what you asked for.
Yeah but no one ever sees it that way is what is so gross about this all. They vote in the exact policies and people who do stuff they hate, but it is always spun as "well the other party ruined it all" when THEY the people voted for it.
So they just vote it all in again next time.... They never learn and that would be fine I would say let it all burn cept it hurts everyone else who didn't vote that garbage in .
Nah, nothing will happen over there.. France be having big protests and riots all the time and it always seems to just fizzle out n everyone goes home for a bit.
The government/police are very good at shutting them down and arresting the main instigators. The yellow jacket protests a few years ago were the closest thing to a revolution in a long time, and they got the jackboots. What's happening now isn't at that level yet.

This time around let's hope they role the dice and it comes up Monarchy. There are still decendants of Napoleon III around who can inherit the throne.
Vive le Roi
I'll take it.
None of that would have happened if the royalty had some compassion for the commoners.

No. If he wants his party to win the next election, he should show more compassion to the people.
No need for real compassionate leadership when politicians can show faux compassion by signaling virtue to various identity groups.
No need for compassion when they just rig elections.

Soyez comme l’oiseau, posé pour un instant
Sur des rameaux trop frêles,
Qui sent ployer la branche et qui chante pourtant,
Sachant qu’il a des ailes!
Be like the bird who,
pausing in her flight
awhile on boughs too slight,
feels them give way beneath her,
and yet sings, knowing she hath wings
-Victor Hugo
Hopefully they a reverse French revolution and install a traditionalist Catholic Monarch
