That makes you completely powerless. What you typically don't see after a gun battle is the winning western forces having to fish dead insurgents out of canals that they had used as a fortification. That's what winning a battle looks like. Civil Disobedience is the recognition by someone that they don't have to listen to you.
The 2nd Amendment is the last line of defense. If you have to resort to it, you've already lost huge ground.
