Yeah. High school student edits the yearbook with an edgy comment? 20 years ago this would be called a prank.

Schools started using computers but never got into computer security. Instead they just pretend everything is fine, and when evidence that it's not is revealed, they call the cops. Who knows how many little adjustments go unnoticed?
