Want to know the difference between right populism and leftist “intellectuals”? When a populist sees a statue of George Floyd they laugh and mock it, when a leftist sees a statue of Jesus they demand it be removed because it causes “harm”.
We should do the same thing they do.
Won't work. You can only demand accommodations from the accommodating.
Then demolish their statues by force, like they do.
But what if they were offended by the subpar engine erring and construction of said statue and it actually fell on them, causing physical harm?
Puerto Rico puts up life-size bronze statues of every president to visit their capital building. I walked along them. Some of them have policies I quite disagree with. You know what I did about it? Took pictures of the neat bronzework like a good tourist. The Obama one's got his hand out like a handshake, so I shook his statue-hand. The Roosevelt one is seated so I sat on his lap. Like a fun tourist should. Even if they may or may not have had policies that I think are reprehensible, the point of these statue is not those actions. It's to commemorate them remembering the USA protectorate non-State, not their actions in war or the like.
I don't see why others can't get simple things like that.
"There was a chill in the air. You could almost physically feel the evil radiating from the thing. But, thankfully the commie was runover by the mac truck they were trying to stop by standing in the road and all was right in the world again."
In case it isn't clear, this is satire.
