Only fringe nutjobs still call themselves actual communists.
Most of our rulers nowadays are Fabians anyways, not commies. They believe in gradually changing the culture and laws instead of revolution, and it's working.
They disagee with Bill Ayers' violent bombing tactics, but that disagreement is only a tactical disagreement, and these disagreements only really apply in first world countries where there are lots of camera lenses, as they are more than happy to employ violence beyond them. Why use bombs and tarnish your movement as a violent fringe group when propaganda and community organizing works so much better? Why bother with shit like the Weather Underground and Bombing when Alinsky has shown them a new way where they get what they want and can also claim the moral high ground?
US banned communism. In the 50's I think? The law was never enforced. So could we actually ban communism?
If we did, you claim nothing changes. I say everything changes, from school boards to Congress to the WH. Further, I think we get nowhere without enforcing such a ban, vigilante style since we have no justice system anymore.

The Fabian Society advances communism. Don't be deceived. It's not one or the other.
Yes, obviously.
My point is that we can ban "communism" yesterday and nothing changes.
I'm not sure either proposition is true.

No longer even this now that they've completely coopted the media and big tech to censor the actions of their militant wing.
