Just an FYI, manga’s always targeted a Japanese audience because they make up a majority of the sales. That’s why they’ve been a good media source.
In the past year, with all the “Japanese good posts” that is starting to change, and the Western world is slowly starting to become the majority.
Can you guess what will happen when the woke West becomes the majority? I just want people to think about that before we bring even more Western attention to Japan.
The real solution is not to run to Japan, but to create alternative Western comics to this garbage. That’s the way to go, and it’s what I support (shipping costs are a pain, but it’s worth it).
No, you're a fucking moron if you think more people supporting what the industry is about, and having no intention of changing it, is somehow going to harm it, or is somehow locust-like.
Manga writers own their own work. It isn't like DC/Marvel where the company owns everything. This has the advantage that the writers care about their work instead of their twitter feed. Not to mention that the manga industry is extremely competitive and if your quality goes down, so will your spot in the magazines.
Gosh, another “Japanese comic good post”?

Yes, "I enjoy your industry because it appeals to your local tastes". Very locust-like.
Who the fuck is pushing this narrative and why?

Tell em, brother. I think Funimation’s blue haired executives have infiltrated the boards of some prominent anime studios already.
