What could happen is a wave of cancel culture could overtake an industry that is rife with “toxic masculinity” with calls to replace everyone competent with rainbow alphabet hires who will burn everything down to the ground.
People across all political affiliations and economic classes are widely rejecting calls for gun control, because the Democrats are fucking up so bad that everyone feels like they have to be strapped.
But a legion of HR Karens and affirmative action hires can fuck up the industry right quick, if allowed to propagate.
You could have said that about the videogames industry 2 decades ago, and now you get pronouns in Forza and the E3 is filled with literal cooking simulators.
EA just stopped selling the lootboxes in the places where it was illegal.
Nobody "protected" them, they just followed the rules.
