I’ve reached a point where a race or gender swap is enough for me not to watch. In the past I wouldn’t have minded but it seems to be the norm now. Denzel Washington gets a rare exception due to him being one of my favorite actors. Lol
Agreed. I lived Vikings. I'm noping out of the upcoming sequel series after learning that the King of Denmark is now a black woman.
The king is a black woman? Of Denmark?! Geez
What
The only response I have to that is a rhetorical "lol what".
Honk fucking honk.
Turning the wife into a lesbian out of nowhere was enough to make me "nope" out.
The explanation didn't even make sense, it was something like "she had only been hurt by men, so she found love with a woman."
It just leaves you completely scratching your head because it made zero sense and came completely out of left field.
I haven't and won't watch the Artemis Fowl movie because of blackwashed Butler and sex-swapped Commander Root. I don't care how great their "personalities" are.
From what I heard, the film was an absolute disgrace to the franchise, so you didn't miss much.
As someone who knows exactly zero about the source material I don't really care about the swap. But Gaiman's passive aggressive bitchy attitude on twitter is enough for me to never watch this.
Exactly.
