I considered the supreme court lost when they ruled the "state" was the government and not individual states in Obamacare. That was my black pill moment.
I mean, we have been long since giving up the idea of individual "states" since at least the Civil War, and not just subsidiaries of the federal government.
Its one reason why Trump's Rona response was such a shock and hated. He literally let the States be individuals again for the first time in most people's lives.
What amazed me was how well the media sold the abysmal leadership of the blue states. Gretchen Whitmer was awarded for having the worst response, killing over a third of small businesses with lockdowns, and still maintaining the largest infection rate per capita. Over 6000 restaurants closed permanently, but at least we have video of a crip beating the fuck out of white grandpa in isolation cause “Covid”.
Cuomo is directly responsible for how many people being killed in nursing homes again? I think they finally admitted to 15,000 total deaths and they covered up everything past 9,200. So, his policy of putting Covid patients in nursing homes killed somewhere under 15,000 people?
Honestly, at least part of me thinks Trump did it to expose how fucking retarded the blue leadership was. It put responsibility back on them after decades of being cushy "blame the other guy" jobs. And it worked pretty well, my own state is now revved up and utterly hateful of our blue governor to the point where people actually are asking about election day.
However, like all Trump moves, he underestimated how hard the media would spin/hide and how far the populace would let these idiots abuse us without standing up.

Whitmer still won’t release the numbers. We have about 10% actually reported in Michigan.

That is, in effect, the supreme court voting to give itself more power.
