All I remember of He-Man was harness-and-loincloth-clad beefcake accompanied by a talking tiger, and fighting against spooky scary skeleton man. I was a teenager with a life, so I didn't really watch it, besides being old enough to know all the "new cartoons" (pretty much anything that came out after Star Wars, I think) were nothing but half-hour toy commercials.
And frankly, I kind of liked Bravestarr better when it came out.
But yeah, beefcake. Lots of beefcake. It's the female gaze that show needed to watch out for, I should think. She-Ra was for the boys.
