I think part of the problem is that a lot of fucking retards became professors who have no business in academia.
As academia expanded- students who fail basic math/logic but who tick diversity boxes can now become professors.
Academia needs to remove everything less rigorous than STEM
Liberal arts should get no subsidies or grants of any kind. You can learn all that online for free.
In regards to literal art, where should that go?
I disagree.
Just because Affirmative Action allows functionally illiterate Negros into colleges and screaming "Black Lives Matters!" wins you a medical scholarship to become a neurosurgeon, doesn't mean...
...
... I withdraw my comment.
Med school?

Nah, just take tax money away from universities so it can become a proper competitive market. The problem will fix itself then.
Academia is a welfare system for people who cannot or will not function in the real world. This is the same for all teachers in government schools.
Those who can - do
Those who can’t - teach
Scientism and sjwism is the secular religion of the nwo. They even have dietary requirements, c'mon maan.
They do understand and don't care. Why open yourself to being wrong or avoid the temptation of treating yourself like a god when the worshipers and propagandists are waiting? They are academics. They cannot function in the real world and get off to being an authority over naive college students.
Academia is about academics collecting a paycheck while doing the least and poorest work possible. They will do anything to protect their pathetic lifestyle.
I wonder if the left were ever true. Once Nobel prizes and Field medals started popping up, I imagine scientists wanted that sweet sweet recognition, fame and fortune. Heck, I wouldn't mind recognition in my field either. They are human after all.
Scientific discourse is still is true, it just doesn't fit the narrative of ever-increasing progress that permeates so much of society.
I always found it extra interesting to see scientific bickering. Makes me feel warm inside: https://retractionwatch.com/
Need some parentheses my dude
That's pretty much the problem. Academia is a bunch of people arguing to figure out how things work. They order a pizza and then argue on the toppings or spices.
Instead, we have social pressure and politics. That's usually a sign that's something up. If the teachers just mimic what the staff want, nothing new gets introduced or challenged or even learned.
We end up stagnating because people were unwilling to be challenged, or torn apart by evidence. They want to be called scientists l, but are unwilling to do science.
We really do have social pressure. Last night I thought I'd say hello to some old friends in a voice chat who I hadn't talked to in a very long time. Not five minutes into the small talk one of them said "Did you get your vaccine yet!?!?!?"
This dude is a long time friend, but he's also a "liberal techie." So I simply said "No." When they asked what I'm waiting on, I just didn't say anything. Fortunately another friend broke the silence with "I'm getting my next vaccine on Saturday..." and nobody cared that I never gave an answer.
Had I told them that I had no plans to get one, the conversation would have turned really sour real fast.
"it to go through the full multi-year FDA approval process instead of a basic Emergency Use Authorization"
"I prefer to DIY and have my immune system make my own vaccine. "
