For context since I heard from Farms that KIA users who complain about the lack of information on threads are just Reset Traps who bitch about anything on reddit. PS5 is confirm to have the C-Bomb on the system. And in other news Sony Reverse their decision of shutting down PlayStation Network Store on the Ps3 and Ps Vita they want to keep them open because of the Backlash that happen.
They just posted on there blog

PC gamming is getting more attractive every year.
Especially if you can buy something off of a place like GOG with no drm.
I would have been surprised if it was the opposite really. I've just changed my way of thinking. I used to be a physical media person, but once I got in my head the discs were now nothing more than license keys I quit bothering.
So far as a console-first player none of the companies have done anything to make me want their new products. There was a time a few years ago I might have thought of myself as likely to own both a Xbox Series X and a PS5 in the future. Right now, I'd say I'm unlikely to buy either. That's not a political boycott or moving to PC, but because they've lost my interest. New games have been so little fun to me. I think here it is April 20 and my gaming spending is less than $10 YTD.
PC games became keys in the 2010s, and yeah there should be a law that discloses whether a game is a physical copy or a key.
Switch isn't like that. You buy the cart you own the cart and you don't need to download any extraneous keys to play the games you bought.
You're spot on about the Xbox and PlayStation consoles at this point, since buying the disc is literally just access to a license key, and sometimes they may or may not work without internet connection, it's why I stick basically with Nintendo and PC and have ALL of my digital games backed up on physical hard drives.
With a few notable exceptions of games where they cheap out and don’t include the whole thing on the card.
I always buy physical carts for the Switch.
Nintendo would definitely be most likely to get the next of my business. For now, I'll keep what I've got. I do hope someday they improve the Switch a bit, I'm not a huge fan of the hardware. Doesn't matter really though, I've got enough games to satisfy me for a long time already.
I'm in the same boat.
I didn't even bat my eye at the PS4 and XSX since they have no good games, all their first and second party studios are compromised with extreme-Leftists and SJW content, and the prices... actually aren't that bad for the hardware but not enough to convince me to support such staunchly Leftist corporations.
Nintendo hasn't completely spilled their spaghetti yet, but NOA definitely seems to be heading int he direction as the other big two. For now, though, I've been limited most of my purchases to first-party Nintendo titles (that come out of Japan) and some indie carts here and there from Limited Run Games. What few digital titles I do have they're all backed up on an SD card so if the eShop ever goes kaput I still have my games.
But thanks to the mainstream gaming industry going woke, I've not bothered buying many games and now I just spend my time playing through my extensive Steam back catalog and getting more engrossed in the hardcore simracing communities.
I miss WildStar.
I loved the zany cartoonish world and characters but I couldn't get into the game myself. It had character which most new MMOs lack these days.
I mean...he is talking about losing access to ps3 games when we still haven’t. I think we will be okay.
Only complaints I have with PSN on this are games like Korra or TMNT that are pulled because of licensing and cannot be downloaded again.
I'm pretty sure anything you've bought should be re-downloadable, I know cause I've got several games that have been de-listed. Korra for PS4, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2 for PS3, Danganronpa for Vita, and several others, all downloadable for me despite being de-listed.
To my knowledge, the only things that can be completely taken away with no way to redownload is free stuff, such as demos. Biggest example I can think of is P.T.
That said, I still wouldn't trust Sony with digital purchases anymore. It's shitty that they wanted to close the PS3/Vita stores at all. If they do eventually close down, I'll assume it's only a matter of time before your ability to re-download games goes away too. And to think, they're trying to sell people a console with no disc drive.
Negative. They are not just delisted. There is no way to re-download.
I think I still have Korra on the PS4 but it is just like PT.
That can't be, I just went to check, and the Korra game downloaded to my PS4 just fine. I could even show you a screenshot, though I'm not sure if this site has particular rules for linking images(can I link imgur? cause thats the only image thing I know how to use).
I know for a fact I'm still able to download games that have been de-listed, but idk, maybe it's different for you. If so, then maybe it's a regional thing? I know that is an issue on sonys consoles sometimes, like how certain PS1 classic titles are able to be downloaded to a Vita in the EU region, but not the US region. Maybe it's like that.
Did you hit your library and grab from there?
Cannot find it in the store.
Yes, that's exactly what I did. De-listed games won't show up in the store, but they should show up in your library and you should be able to download it again from there, I just did it myself a couple hours ago.
Thanks I will dig into that. Had been waiting to play Korra with my kid until we made it through, then couldn’t. Also was trying to push it to the ps5 but hadn’t seen it there. I’ll boot up the ps4 and look, doesn’t see much use anymore.
