Because government does not want things going back to "normal."
Checks and balances are just a "technicality" to these people.
And instead of just revoting to reimplement, they do this draconian shit. Because they know it'd get overturned.
Most of the state—especially the big cities—are a bunch of sheep. Lots of good people, but we are outnumbered by the wack-a-doodles.
They really want Greater Idaho to succeed in May I guess. Good, any good secessionist state needs a coast line.
