WSB on here is as dead as a doornail, so why not ask here?
I personally consider it overvalued at anything over $100, there are too many competitors and too much volatility - also, the push from mainstream media that COIN will be the next big thing raises red flags.
I have heard second-hand that Coinbase has de-platformed certain spicy political commentators. Just something to bear in mind, although I use them myself.
They did that as far back as 2018 most likely because of pressure from certain payment processors.
I'm interested in putting Coinbase out of business. Until we end-run the IRS-reporting gatekeeper exchanges, we'll never be free.
Coinbase will not send bitcoin to certain addresses associated with political activists. I've tried. They don't publish which organizations these are, or even openly admit that they're blocking the transaction. you just get a 'failed to send' for no reason. However, you can send the coin to another wallet off-platform, then to the intended address, and that works fine.
personally, I wouldnt touch most IPOs listing on the American markets, they've realized that they can IPO these big name tech stocks at ridiculous market caps and leave retail holding the steamy -30% within a week.
Yeah, if anything I'd short a tech IPO. But shorting is always very risky.
The whole point is to promote de-centalization, not another possibly woke company to lock you out of financial services. I don't see the value in this company.
It is as close to a household name as crypto has right now, but all my money is elsewhere right now so I'll miss this one. oh well.
I might. I don't actually use them because they gave me issues with verification, but they still seem to be a big player. Will see how it goes, I'll probably try to sit it out a week for the hype part to pass.
I plan on investing a little. Don’t have the budget now for major investments
