My understanding is that Discord is rated as 12+ in the app store but because there's NSFW stuff on Discord, Apple has demanded that Discord set the rating to 17+.
But Discord doesn't want to do this because they want the gamer kids to use it so they're going to just shut down NSFW access to all iOS users and keep it at 12+

I first started getting on ventrilo when I was 14. I've run into a few people younger than that over the years in various mmos, and its never really been a problem, fortunately...
Then again, at least 15 years ago we were smart enough not to link porn in an easily accessible area where kids would be playing. TBF, we also didn't have discord seemlessly displaying images/videos in the chat client.
That and my group tried a NSFW channel once... and it died within a couple of weeks of being created, so we deleted the channel. Turns out when most of your group is over 25, you know where to find porn and you don't feel the need to share it because it is not novel to see boobs on the internet.
What if people just refuse to update
