Notice how, over the decades, country music in general has come to resemble watered-down pop with steel guitars more and more?

And ironically enough, "Country-Western" is a kind of oldschool "politically correct" term, that replaced "Hillbilly" on the record chart listings.

Yeah; a co-worker was playing some “country” music the other day.

It was pop with some Nashville douche singing instead of a drugged up whore with autotune.

He admitted that’s it’s basically become pop as soon as I brought it up.

Then we switched to classic rock and all was right with the world.
