We need a twitch alternative that isn't Dlive, as said site is owned by a PRC national.
Twitch itself is not an option as it's controlled by regressive leftists, whom before the rise of the regressive left have a history of abusing users whenever mod drama occurs. The most notable example of this is the remove horror drama, where a mod was enforcing a policy against loli emotes in a nippophobic manner by wrongfully banning several anime emotes that had nothing to do with hentai, while at the same time hypocritically authorized custom emotes of a boyfriend's character who was used in cub porn.
sadly twitch has pretty much a monopoly
didnt try dlive because of the ban wave, im regularly on trovo because they have based streamers but the community is really small....
however you do sometimes find gems like this crazy old guy: https://trovo.live/buildingtherealm not gaming but damn entertaining
Trovo is Tencent.
it is, but at this stage of the game you have significantly more freedom under chinese commies than you do under san fran trannies
eventually they will fold to pressure through payment processors but for now its a temporary encampment until a truly uncensorable alternative is created
Yeah, there are no good options, only differently fucked ones, and people have to figure out what they can best leverage until more robust solutions are made.
Odysee is coming out with streaming soon. No idea how good it will be though.
I found out about odysee recently, though forgot the name.
Also found Bitwave.
Disconcerting that Bitwave blocks VPN IPs though.
odysee requires de-anonymizing yourself to post content or comment, that seems like a bad idea
"Twitch is not an option" no fucking shit, it says so right in the title
I've seen this phrase way more times on this site this year than I should have to.
Somewhere along the way, did furries stop getting bullied? No...it's probably more likely that degenerate avenues of promotion and protection exist.
I think the furry hate died down in the 2010's as more people got exposed to the smarter ones who refuse to stuff their crap into everything, Though the sex crime scandals and improper responses to said scandals are probably doing large amounts of damage.
Theta.tv if you share bandwidth while watching you earn money to buy games, merch or dinate to streamers
At what costs does that come from me. It also sounds like they are trying to pad watch numbers and time.
Oh nice they'll like getting my 0.5mbps down .13mbps up connect lol
glimesh.tv is currently in Alpha, but it looks like they're ramping up quite nicely. You might want to give them a look.
not quite the same but peertube apparently has live streaming capability via p2p https://linuxiac.com/peertube-video-platform-come-with-p2p-live-streaming/
There’s an open source streaming site on GitHub called Guac.live that you could check out.
