Dragon Ball Z, and fighting games, are two things that are popular with large numbers of nerdy black males. This game, then, sits at a perfect intersection of not just being both of those things and having a black fanbase, but black fanbase with the brains to absorb political theory.
Rather than the usual Marxist approach of making a shit game that nobody wants to play, they've taken an existing game that's light years better looking and more fun than any of the indie trash these types of Marxists usually spit out, and just slapped their logos and colours over it. DBZ's art style also means the models have textures that are so stupidly simple, just anyone could put out a texture mod that - tastes aside - looks as good as the original art assets.
Rather ship out boring ass shit full of boring ass politics, they've just spat out this fun thing. All your favorite DBZ characters, all your favorite gameplay, only now everyone's black, like you, and telling you BLACK LIVES MATTER.
