If their goal was moral and societal acceptance for what they purport to support, then it would make clear, logical sense to throw the pedos under the bus, the pedo's friends under a lighter bus, and just do a clean-house with a "we are shocked and appalled at what has been revealed to us. None of us suspected or were made aware of this [or if they were made aware, 'we could not act without full evidence but were keeping watch over it'], and we are now taking steps to resolve the situation. We deeply regret this has reflected poorly on our community. But they did NOT do that. So their goal is NOT social, societal, or moral acceptance of their STATED purpose. They have a different goal in mind. Because that is NOT complicated, I free-wrote that theoretical "non-apology" in less than a minute, it's obvious and clear what they need to do, if their stated goals align with their real goals, so why don't they do it?
