They just can't make fun of the current administration so they have to shut up. Or more realistically, they will just bitch about trannys, homos, black people, or some BS like "gender pay gap" instead.
Yep, that's all it is. Their guy is in, so now they'll shut up about politics. Simple as that.

That's a common argument from the left. Their politics aren't politics. To them shit like BLM isn't "political".
There are basically 2 arguments from the Woke Left about what is and isn't politics.

The first argument is to get to people accept the Woke Left's politics as a normal thing that good people just accept, to make people think that only a "bad person" would question the Woke Left's politics.
The second argument is to get people to accept when the Woke Left injects their politics into non-political stuff, especially media. The Woke Left wants to subvert non-political media with their politics so their politics won't be seen as political but instead seen as "normal" & "good', thus feeding into the first argument.
