Because they're not that bad, they're just stupidly accomodating to outsiders. Just spin a sob story and they'll fall over themselves to make it up to you.
The paradox of tolerance at play.
At some point, it's perfectly fine to state that you accept plenty of bullshit, but some bullshit crosses a very dangerous line, and kick out or otherwise deal with the perpetrator(s).

Tolerating the first few calls, makes sense.
Ignoring the next few becomes understandable.
The problem is, for many of these people, theyre shouting dragon. And dragons aren't real.
