This wasn't about getting a guilty verdict. They established precident that you can impeach people out of office and go after political enemies in the future in this manner. They had the media publicly convict and find him guilty and in turn the npcs now know he was guilty and believe he got off because Republicans are evil nazis that were complicit and voted not guilty to save themselves. They accomplished this and more with this communist show trial. Facts didn't even matter. They doctored evidence multiple times and face no consequences for it. They admit to it and face no consequences. Its effectively end of ww2 with the court declaring all evidence is factual and the party is guilty and those cannot be debated as the preface to the trial.

You even have democrats evoking the memory of their dead son that died of suicide weeks before the riot and crying on the stand like some Simpsons parody of your tears say more than facts ever could type bullshit. Anyone voting guilty should have been arrested for treason. This was a kangaroo court and completely without merit and they literally doctored evidence to try and conduct the president.
