Hi fwiends,
Your boy needs a new mouse but how can I trust the gaming websites considering I know the truth about GG.
Can you give some recommendations? Are there any sites out there that you can actually believe?

Logitech used to be great but their quality has gone downhill.
I currently have one but I'll be looking elsewhere when it stops working. For example my middle mouse button regularly starts doing weird things, e.g. sometimes it double clicks, other times it doesn't work at all. It's damn annoying in games or when using a browser.
Yeah that was one of my problems too, with the middle wheel being made of a soft squishy plastic. The one I have now has it made of hard plastic.
I'm using the Microsoft ergo mouse with a squishy wheel which is the main reason I want to get a new one.
No kidding. I've got the K850/M720 set about a year old. It's so damn plastic-y and the spacebar is already getting smooth from my finger. My previous set lasted ten years and while I this one might still function then it already feels crap.
Yes I know I'm sure the OP and most of everyone else is talking about high performance gaming mice or whatever. I was never good enough for the mouse to matter and most of my PC games are city builders and turn based empire building games where I think I'll survive with a basic mouse. I'd spend some good money on a well oiled machine quality one over a piece of plastic crap though.
The "double-click" effect is a sign that the switch in the mouse is worn out. If you're comfortable disassembling the mouse and soldering you may be able to replace the switch with a new switch.
I use the logitech ergonomic trackballs, and they do the same thing after about 3 years. Then I found someone online who posted part numbers for higher quality switches with the same size and just pro-actively replaced them all. Haven't had any issues since, and I like the more solid mouse-click feel the higher quality switches have.
One reason I need a new one is the middle scroll wheel/button doesn't work well, had to remap Witcher 3 and for RDR2 I gotta try hard to clean my gun.
