The Communist Party of China was funding genetic and viral research on coronaviruses at the lab in Wuhan from which we believe the virus was released.
The Communist Party of China denied the existence of the virus while its agents purchased supplies we believe helpful in combating it from other countries.
The Communist Party of China instituted a strict regional lockdown in areas where the virus was present, while not only encouraging but actively funding international travel likely to spread the virus to other nations.
The Communist Party of China produced and spread propaganda to encourage behaviors and policies which would reduce the ability of other nations to prevent the spread of the virus.
Clearly, this is neither a blank slate from which we start, nor a course of action adequately explained by ignorance or incompetence.
