There is no military purpose for women, and no practical purpose for homosexuals or mental defectives.

As soon as you start thinking of examples whereby a woman might have more utility than a man, you invariably leave the realm of national defense and venture into "police actions", "nation-building", and other bullshit we shouldn't be involved in.

The only thing a woman can do better than a man while in active service is ahem 'keep morale up' downrange, and that carries a lot of serious moral implications best avoided entirely.
