The search feature has been broken for like a month. I sent a message and heard nothing. I tried it again like a week ago and it's still broken.
Also you'd think there'd be a way to change it so links are the default post not images.
As I understand it, for now, search has been disabled to reduce load on the .wins. Add "site:kotakuinaction2.win" to your search on DuckDuckGo and it'll find what you want.
