Twitch grifter "Zombaekillz" sends out a tweet at Sony and Microsoft e-begging for a PS5 and Xbox Series X because she feels there needs to be more Women Of Color representation in console reviews. Never mind the fact that she's effectively a nobody with only a handful of followers.

Sophia Narwitz draws attention to this steaming pile of horse shit in a separate tweet. It starts to become a thing, drawing Zombaekillz both deserved flak from critics and YAAAS KWEEEN accolades from the expected sources.
Griffin Gaming releases a video calling her out on her idpol bullshit grifting tendencies. Zombaekillz takes umbrage with this and her and her followers start a false-flag campaign against the channel, calling them the usual slew of -ists and -isms.
Bounding Into Comics reports on the false-flag campaign, and they, too find themselves in the crosshairs of an SJW kerfuffle.
So basically it boils down to the cult of IdPol doing what they usually do - since they don't have a legal or moral leg to stand on, they try to silence their critics through the usual censorship means.

True. They figure that shit into their marketing budget. Hell, they're probably sitting on half a warehouse full of the damn things that are earmarked for giveaways. That doesn't mean that they should be hucking them at every Literally Who who screams for one based on gender, sexual orientation, or the color of their skin. All doing that does is create positive reinforcement for their bad actions.

It was, somewhat. After Sophia drew attention to her grifting there was some traction in the KIA/KIA2/Anti-SJW gaming circles. Thing is, it was pretty blatant that this Literally Who was e-begging based on her race and it wasn't the first time she'd pulled this kind of crap. If she'd shut up about it, ignored the bad publicity, and just done her thing then things probably would have died down somewhat. Instead, she started pulling the usual SJW tactics, doubled down, played the race card, played the gender card, and acted like she had every entitlement to the things that were given to her - not that she was lucky to have been given $1000 worth of equipment that most people either couldn't afford or wouldn't be able to acquire during the holiday season. It wasn't until she started yapping like an annoying dog at the detractors that the shit started getting deeper and outlets like Griffin decided to do their thing.
I've gotten so cynical that I feel like that Zombae fellow never reached out to Sony/MS and instead bought those consoles herself and just stirs up drama for the sake of it.
