Anyone else think this might be it for WoW?
Shadowlands just isn't doing it for me. I look at my characters, in full kit warfront armor, and I look at the factions and the Shadowlands armors and dungeons, and all I feel is "Nah."
I played my Velf warlock up to 60 and I just can't be bothered to do it again. It's just not fun, there's several hours of unskippable narration if you add up all the quests. The story and setting are a mess, they've succeeded in making the afterlife look like the FUCKING DMV.
The Kyrian zone irritated me more than anything else. I'm supposed to motivate some whiny wuss acolyte and I'm thinking where's the option where I say "Do you know who I am? See this scythe? I'm gonna ram it up the jailer's ass and rip his spine out like a zipper." Genuinely pleased when the place went to hell and I'm like "now we're talking" and start summoning kamikaze demons.
What did you expect? it’s a Standard wow expansion. Mediocre writing, linear theme park design, decent art direction. Literally the only thing going for it is that it’s new content for the people who will never stop playing wow no matter what blizzard does.
Imagine what Tyrael would do.
If Shadowlands had been World of Diablo, I'd be down with that.
Uther's selfish desire for revenge is proof enough on why Kyrians should stick to their course of actions.
God knows for how long and how many unnecessary powerful souls have been fed to the Maw which have only bolstered Jailer's army.
If we are to assume that Uther been doing this since WotLK until Arbiter's coma than we may very well be forced to deal with powerful souls like Deathwing or Gul'dan again.
Oh, I would seriously hate that. I never played human or dwarf, never had any urge to.
And yeah, I had a couple Blood Elves in my stable. And maybe a goblin. But I mostly mained a Tauren hunter.
(Played between mid-Wrath to mid-MoP.)
Anyone notice that the new Animaniacs ditched almost all its non-human cast except for the warners and the mice themselves? No goodfeathers, no squirrels, no Rita and Runt. Pattern developing? Are we doomed to a future where all characters are nothing but human, middle aged POX?
That being said, if I want the MMO experience, I think I still have TESO installed. Or I can continue with Witcher 3, it's weird, but it feels like a "single player MMO" to me.
That's another thing.
When ya get to Maldraxus, how many of these people did the HERO kill?
If you're gonna lampoon death itself it's an opportunity to play up the fact that the hero has a bigger body count than Johnny Gat.
I'm playing WoW right now. Of course, that's on a WotLK private server. Dabbled with Classic for maybe a month when they released it, but haven't done retail in close to a decade or so now.
Bloody hard RPG as I recall, but then I was never good at those isometric type games so maybe it's just m-
Wait, there's a new WoW expansion?
Imo wow has been doomed since Legion, anything post Sargeras is just desperate retconning
There have been some parts that I’ve liked but over all the story has felt meh so far. Now if they could get someone like the person who did the shadowbringers story in FF14 to do an expansion I think it would be amazing, that person knows how to keep things interesting. Sadly I don’t think blizzard would hire someone like that.
BFA had its positives. Bwonsamdi (as voiced by Alex Desert) is easily in the top ten best characters of the entire franchise, MMOs in general not being well known for voice acting.
