There is no Akane to save us.
Makishima would work too but then we would have to worry about Kogami messing things up
When I first watched the series a few years ago I was rooting for Kogami and Akane.
I also rewatched Season 1 this year and with recent events of the lockdown fresh in my mind I see now that Makishima's methods mayve extreme but he was right about the Sibyl System.
