Some MP tried to introduce a bill to give the fetus/baby from 20 weeks and up(or was it 12 weeks and up? sorry dont quite remember) pain killers and the bill was actually actively shot down.

It was shot down because the bill was predicated on the insane notion that a gestating human being is in fact a human being and has some level of natural rights.
Talking to some of the Kiwi's the population has been almost entirely culled by Progressive Fascism. They're actually rationalizing that the president is good because it's making them famous.
This really does only end with the government burning stacks of party loyalists' bodies.
The media is full of shit its all left wing and the government pass these things quietly whilst people are distracted by other things like the pandemic and all that.
Eh, I like the spirit of the idea. But I doubt they'll stop paying all the worthless positions that are currently held be women that nobody would hire if these positions didn't exist.
