This is rough knowing what went on in that part of the world and knowing that not many people outside of it knew what happened. Or if they did they have long since forgot or downplayed it.

To say things were bleak is a vast understatement.

I don't think the US is as ethnically, religiously, or culturally divided as there for us to end up like that. However:

I'm not too worried about Harris/Biden, it's what comes after.
