You can't have free speech but also arrest people for saying mean things.

So I was telling my friend that we have as much free speech in the EU as America. To prove it I walked to a street by the White House and yelled "FUCK TRUMP! DOWN WITH AMERICA!" and I wasn't arrested. Then we went to Berlin and I walked to a street by the Chancellery and yelled "FUCK TRUMP! DOWN WITH AMERICA!" and I wasn't arrested either.

(Yes, I just repurposed an old Cold War joke.)
