Why am I not surprised that the scholar was Asian? There was a similar study done by a black Harvard professor recently, and he didn't get fired. Seems like you have to have the right skin color to bring facts to this particularly discussion.

Honestly I've taken a significant break from playing most modern games. I haven't seen much innovation in gameplay for a decade now, and I've already played most of the exceptions. Now I play DOOM and DOOM II: Hell on Earth through GZDOOM so that I can play all of the mods and wads from 27 years of player created content. It's been phenomenally fun so far. There are maps where you fight 40000 enemies and are brutally difficult, but fun to overcome, demon infighting maps, puzzle maps, and mods to improve the graphics and gore. There's an entire 3D Sonic Game in DOOM somehow thanks to a dedicated modder, an amazing series called The Golden Souls where you play DOOM in Super Mario World with platforming, Mario enemies, and an overworld, and many other complete retoolings of the game from harder maps to different weapons, to completely different games. It's been awesome, and it only cost 5 bucks to get DOOM II so that I could play it all.
I think we're basically watching the internet crack into two, and the only thing that will stop it is massive suppression by Stripe and other payment companies. Unfortunately, that does mean that it's still being centralized, but just around 2 separate poles.
And all it took was the mayor's personal safety being threatened. Really shows you where the priorities are in that city.
The only good to come out of unethical games journalism was that it cast the scales from our eyes. Once you realize you can't trust one outlet you start to become skeptical of the others and keep tabs on what they do, and that was all it took to realize just how much fake news is out there.

Those homeowners could use some more firearm training, but they did what every American should do when people threaten your hearth, your family, and your legacy. Get those guns out and tell them to fuck right off. If they try anything then shoot them. Self-defense is a necessary right, and not enough people are exercising it, nor defending others' rights to do so.

This current wave appears to be step 3. There's the new rules for reddit, the banning of anyone talking about crime or police stats relevant to BLM on Youtube, and Google's algorithm prioritizing their "approved fact sources". They're fast tracking the curation of the public discourse, and until we get a "non-left" clone of every popular site, it's gonna be very difficult for us wrongthinkers to get the message out.
