The whole "Be good" shit the court hands out, is pretty much toothless in my experience, probation is a series of "revoke and reinstate"(See Redo from start), suspended sentences are almost never imposed, even if new charges are accrued, and the "Out with good behavior" generally translates as "Didn't actually kill anybody while in prison".
It's all theatre.
