Standouts/ must watch: Bleach TYBW, Chainsaw Man, Mob psycho 100 III and Spy x Family cour 2

Suprises: The Eminence in Shadow: I went in blind to this one and the tone shift from ep 1 after credits was massive. A very good show with the perfect mix of cringe and badass scenes.

Akiba Maid war: Yakusa gang wars but in maid cosplay, seriously

Personal likes:

Reincarnated as a sword: could easily be dismissed as isekai trash but has cute then brutal moments mixed in (Fran's hands all I'll say)

Mobile suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury: despite early attempts by leftists to call it yuri, no it's just a good introduction to Gundam for new viewers, excellent art and has the political intrigue you expect from Gundam.

Ituma-kun season 3: it's my lighthearted weekly watch.

Would like to highlight Isekai Ojisan is back after both Netflix and production hell which is also worth a watch.

We've had an extremely light discussion around AI with artists complaining realising they too can be automated, we had the concept of a literal baby making facility, I'm assuming genetic rewriting for immortality is next week...

Personally, with AI it's a Pandora's box, if we CAN create sentient artificial life, best hope is not to do it but if a dumbass does we imbrace and integrate that being, as starting conflict will probably be the reason we die.

As for artificial wombs, having the tech is needed but not in this commercial sense that video presentation gave, more as a 'last resort, literally required to save humanity' sense.

I'll put 3 categories of villain for you to choose from, and also note I said favourite not greatest so you can't hide behind killcount, effectiveness or effect they still had on society now. In rising spiciness, the choices are:

Favourite gaming villain

Favourite media villain so can be anime or western media

Favourite historical villain

And since I suggested it I'll go first:

Gaming villain: Kane from C&C franchise, he was a mastermind with style and in the 3rd game played EVERYONE to win in the end

Media Villain: Demiurge from Overlord series, despite putting himself as number 2 behind the MC, the actual mastermind of the series, from 'happy farms' to his 'majestic weapon', you want evil look this guy up

Historical villain: I could be a wuss and say Vlad the Impaler or someone similar but let's go with someone very spicy, Shiro Ishii. Why him? Because after ALL the atrocities he committed for his 'scientific experiments' in Unit 731, he not only got away with it after the war but got military medals for it, pardoned and paid $200k by the Americans in exchange for his research and is responsible for a lot of the true vaccines we use today.

So anyone want to play?

I think he should run as an independent

The people vote for HIM, not the Republican party, if he came out in the speech saying in his own way "I cannot trust or respect the leadership of the Republican party especially when they denied funds to many in the midterms, so I am running independently until that trust can be earned". This would do a lot:

1. Deny funding from the MAGA supporters to the Republicans, they'll still have their interest groups but now can't mix the money with grandma's donation.

2. Bring more focus on the leaders like mitch because they've now been openly challenged

3. Kill any hope for a Republican nominee, anyone trying to run between Biden and Trump would be committing political suicide so those suspicions of Desantis, this will be the ultimate test if he can see the trap. And since he's independent, they cannot screw him in the nomination process.

Just my thoughts, still concerned that Trump doesn't have the best advisors still and not making moves like this .

Was watching the Timcast with Milo on and thought this point in particular deserved seperate discussion given not just recent but years of events.

The point Milo raised was that the ammendments in America can only work with a Christian society, the 2nd only works if you value life and the 1st only works in a society that regularly attends confession. He obviously has a bias but I want to expand that.

We can see that there's two aspects that is really damaging western society, constant attacks on Christianity and not really any other religion (Jew's get few but quickly slapped down by establishment) and a more individualistic view of the world.

For Democracy to work you need everyone to have a stake in it, everyone to share the same morality and everyone to want to improve their communities. On all fronts we've seen either a decrease or an abandonment of each of these values thanks to education policies, media and mass illegal immigration from conflicting cultures.

So the questions, can Democracy only exist in a fully Christian society, should the West no longer be a democracy and if so what system should take it's place, obviously not communism as no matter what that never works.

Yep it was bullshit, they even said so in ep 2 when Miorine (silver hair) stated she needed to be engaged to Suletta so she was neither a pawn to her father or the elite business heads.
